Free provisions of information and advice on a wide range of topics for the benefit of older people, their families or their carers. Factsheets on over 50 subjects are available plus an extensive range of other leaflets and friendly advice.

 Advocacy Service
The Residential Advocacy Project provides an independent ear for people and their families who are either in, or about to go into Residential Care. Should the resident wish it, there is someone to speak on their behalf. Services operate in Amber Valley, Derby City and Erewash areas.
 
 Aid-Call
Aid-Call is a personal home emergency alert system that gives the user independence and security whilst providing peace of mind to the family.

 Charity Shops
Shops are located all round the County and offer a wide range of nearly-new clothing for all ages, together with accessories and household articles. The money generated from our shops provides financial support for other activities promoted by Age Concern Derby & Derbyshire.
 
 County Newspaper
A quarterly newspaper debating topical issues and promoting services is distributed widely throughout the county.
 
 Daily Living Aids
Designed to make life a little easier for older disabled people is a range of domestic equipment such as tap turners and extending reachers. Ph: 0845 450 3790
 
 Day Care
Day care services are offered in Derbyshire Dales for older people ranging from one day to five days per week in friendly supportive environments.
 
 Information Roadshow
 
This visiting Information Service helps older people achieve and maintain their independence by providing information about money, housing, safety, keeping warm and well and other general issues. The Roadshow tours the county of Derbyshire visiting urban and rural locations and meeting people in their own locality. If you would like a visit to your area please telephone 0845 450 3790
 
 Housing Options Advice
 
This project provides information, advice, support and practical help to older people in Derbyshire Dales who are living in unsuitable or poor housing and who wish to consider their options on managing to stay put where they live or move on to other more suitable accommodation. Telephone 01629 761147.
 
 Befriending
Regular social contact and support through a combination of visits and / or phone calls helps counter isolation. The services in High Peak area and Bakewell help older people who are vulnerable because of isolation or physical or mental health problems.
 
 Volunteering
